A New Home
There is an incredible little school tucked away in the heart of Beau Bassin which takes care of 56 children with special needs, called I CAN Special Needs School. A tireless team of caring teachers nurture and teach these children giving them hope and a future.
After 8 years in their current premises, I CAN Special Needs School needs to relocate due to the return of the current owners, to Mauritius. They have found a building close by which suits their needs well. However, the building requires some attention as it has been standing vacant for a while and the management needs to adapt the building to support the children with special needs.
The I61 Foundation has a long relationship with I CAN and looks forward to supporting them through this time.
