Project Summary
During the Covid-19 confinement period in Mauritius, families were not able to access food and other necessities as all grocery stores were closed. Food packs were needed as well as face masks for adults to return to work and children to move about the island and eventually return to school. The I61 Foundation worked together with Amour et Espoir and the Village Council of La Gaulette to ensure food packs and face masks reached families in need.
The I61 Foundation has a long standing relationship with Amour et Espoir and the Village Council of La Gaulette. These organisations worked together with other NGO’s in this region to ensure that every family was reached and duplications were avoided. 49 families received food packs.
