Project Summary

Through a holistic approach, APPEL aims to positively impact those experiencing homelessness and support them in acquiring skillsand keep healthy which can enable them in the long run to move from homelessness to their reintegration in society.

Project Overview

Association Pour Personnes En Larmes (APPEL) runs a residential rehabilitation centre for male homeless on a 24/7 basis. The rehabilitation program has a holistic approach with a view to bring out the best of everyone and it comprises of activities such as life skills classes, music, drama and gardening among many others. We also promote sports and advise residents to practice during their free time. Since we don’t have much space to practice outside, we have opted for inside gym equipment. If our beneficiaries want to join the job market with a better quality of life, the gym activities will be part of the preparation. We believe a healthy person is an asset to any organisation and therefore wish to send our residents back to the society in a healthier condition.
