NGO Name: Ti Rayons Soleil
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
Project Summary
The Sun Kids Education programme supports 85 children between the ages of 4 and 13 years of age from vulnerable families, in two centres, Vacoas and Riviere Noire. They have learning difficulties, are school dropouts, slow learners or simply vulnerable children. Due to the Covid-19 Crisis, the funding Ti Rayons Soleil should have received from the National Social Inclusion Fund (NSIF) was drastically reduced. As a result, the operation was in need of financial support of the ongoing educational support programmes. Funding was provided to Ti Rayons Soleil for the salary of the administrator as well as meals for the children so that it could fulfil all the objectives and activities set out for 2020.
