Sanitary Support
The families of Carre d’As in Riviere Noire have no direct access to water in their current houses and have limited access to the reservoirs that are situated in the village. Currently, there are two water reservoirs and their locations are not ideal for every family. One of the reservoirs is used for washing, as many families do not have a place in their house to wash their laundry or dishes, this causes stagnant water to accumulate next to the reservoir resulting in highly unsanitary conditions. The Sanitary Project Carre D’As aims to provide effective solutions to better their living conditions by raising the water tanks and building designated washing areas for the families.
