Various exciting volunteer opportunities are available within our registered NGO network. The varied opportunities include literacy programs with children and adults, construction work (including painting, building and gardening), garment upcycling and recycling, administration and computer work.
Positions are available at various locations around the island. The position can be short- or long-term and include options of a single day, weekly or monthly, depending on the requirement of the NGO.
At Volunteer Connect, we connect the volunteer with the NGO. Our database constantly grows along with the constantly changing needs of the various NGO’s. There are always new and exciting positions available.
Sorting Volunteers

As there has been a surge in donations over the past few months, the Good Shop urgently requires volunteer assistance with the sorting and classifying of donated items for use within the second-hand shop, upcycling and recycling.

Human Resources Assistant

When you can give a few hours, Monday to Thursday between 9am and 4pm, or any day and time that you are available.
A volunteer is needed to help manage all aspects of the human resources at Ti Rayons Soleil.
The role includes: assisting in recruitment and contracts and Human Resource Management in general. Human Resource experience is essential.

Administration Volunteer

Supporting the I61 Foundation team from the office - updating records, database management, research, coordinating volunteers. No prior experience required just someone to assist where they can with our small, growing team.

Art Teacher

Ti Rayons Soleil is looking for a volunteer to assist teaching children art.
The role includes: teaching children art and expressing their creative talents
Art experience is essential, teaching experience preferred and the ability to work with children is essential.

Administration Volunteers

Monday to Fridays between 9am and 4pm, any day, any time you have available would be greatly appreciated.
KRN is looking for administration volunteers.
The role includes:
- assisting the Administrative Coordinator in all the administration work such as human resource, filing, finance and project reporting,
- assisting the Project Manager in writing community projects,
- assisting with fundraising and project implementation.
No experience required just a willingness to help out.

Children’s Literacy Mentoring Program
Locations and Timing
Rivière Noire - Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm
Petite Rivière Noire - Mondays and Wednesdays from 4pm
Village Les Salines - Fridays from 4pm; Saturdays from 10am.
There are multiple volunteer positions to assist primary school children in KRN’s Literacy Mentoring Program.
This role includes: assisting and guiding children with literacy.
- basic alphabet/spelling
- reading
No experience is required, training will be given to the volunteers, ideally this is a long term commitment to ensure consistency with the program.

Sales and Marketing Volunteer

A long term position any time Monday to Friday.
Hope House is looking for an organised sales and marketing volunteer to assist in the selling of their locally made products. The key responsibilities will involve generating unique sales plans, creating advertising campaigns and promotional literature with the existing team at Hope House. The position will also involve creating and building relationships with new and existing retails sales outlets.
The applicant should have strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills. Provide in depth knowledge and understanding of sales and marketing, and have the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and business partners.
The responsibilities of the volunteer include:
- Promoting the Hope House brands and the identification of new/potential products
- Research and development of marketing plans and opportunities
- Implementing and evaluating sales plans and advertising
- Maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers and partners
- Stock control through retailers
