Various exciting volunteer opportunities are available within our registered NGO network. The varied opportunities include literacy programs with children and adults, construction work (including painting, building and gardening), garment upcycling and recycling, administration and computer work.
Positions are available at various locations around the island. The position can be short- or long-term and include options of a single day, weekly or monthly, depending on the requirement of the NGO.

The Good Shop
As there has been a surge in donations over the past few months, the Good Shop urgently requires volunteer assistance with the sorting and classifying of donated items for use within the second-hand shop, upcycling and recycling.
Duration: This opportunity is short or long term, full-day or half-day, or as ongoing volunteer work.
KRN Children's Literacy Mentoring Program
Location: Petite Riviere Noire / Village Les Salines
There are multiple volunteer positions available in either Petite Riviere Noire or Village Les Salines, in which the volunteer will be assisting and guiding children with literacy.
No experience is required and training will be given to the volunteers. Ideally, this is a long term commitment to ensure consistency with the program.
Timing: Mondays and Wednesdays in Petite Riviere Noire, or Fridays at Village Les Salines from 16:00 onwards.
The Good Shop Opportunities
There are multiple positions available for the Good Shop repair station in Curepipe. These positions involve the repurposing and reusing of fabrics and garments to make them into bags, clothing, cushion stuffing, covers etc.
There is also an opportunity to help with the sorting and organisation of donations at the centre.
Timing: These positions are for Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Location: Cotteau Raffin / Tombeau Bay
There are three exciting positions available with Hope House.
Teaching conversational and basic English to a lady who will be moving abroad. This is a short term position, to help teach the lady basic English skills, giving her the opportunity to integrate into the community. No teaching experience is necessary, however, French or Creole would be beneficial to help with communication. This opportunity is located in Cotteau Raffin.
Two positions are available to assist and monitor a literacy program. No previous experience is necessary and training will be provided. This is a long-term position to ensure the consistency of the program. This opportunity is located in either Cotteau Raffin or Tombeau Bay.
